Housekeeping Rules for Your Pets
As a nation of pet lovers, it is only natural to want your pets with you on holiday and short
breaks. At the Dog & Partridge Country Inn & Hotel, we welcome well-behaved pets and
have put together some simple housekeeping rules to help everyone enjoy a comfortable stay.
General Guidelines
-
Plan ahead:
When booking your stay, please make sure the accommodation is suitable for your pet, with
enough walking space and toilet areas. The Dog & Partridge has plenty of green space and a
field where you can let your dog stretch its legs. We are situated in the High Peak area of the
National Park, so when you are out walking, your pet must be kept on a lead at all times.
-
Request a suitable room:
We have a number of ground floor rooms that are pet friendly. If you are bringing a pet, please
mention this when booking so we can allocate a suitable room, subject to availability.
-
Bring familiar items:
For your pet’s comfort, please bring their crate, bedding, towels and any favourite toys or
blankets. We have dog snacks available at the bar, towels on request and a hosepipe for washing
your dog down after a muddy walk.
-
Keep things clean:
We have a strict policy of not allowing pets on any of the furniture in the bedrooms or public
areas, even if you use your own blanket or towel. Please make sure you have plenty of poo bags,
pick up after your pet and dispose of waste in the bins provided.
-
Plenty of exercise:
A well-exercised pet is more likely to be relaxed and well-behaved. There are many lovely walks
nearby, and after a good walk your pet will usually be happy to lie down, relax and sleep.
What We Allow
- Up to 2 pets per room.
- Pets must be non-aggressive.
- Vaccinations must be up to date.

nervous around animals.
